Solar Rhythm: Sun Enters Sagittarius 2024
As the sun changes its gate of awareness during this window, you may notice the subtle shift of elemental focus. The sun moves into one of the three fire signs, Sagittarius, and will stay there until the Winter Solstice, Dec 21. Sagittarius carries tremendous gifts and the need for responsible care any fire brings. The fuel of the expansive Sagittarius sun only comes once a year. Use this powerful energy to give the much-needed spark of life to the world that, until now, you have only dreamt of.
During significant change, responsible care becomes even more critical. Sagittarius fire expands. As a questing fire, it fuels expansion by searching and exploring new territory in various ways, internally and externally. Inwardly, it can help you seek the meaning of life or shine the light of consciousness on the truth within. Outwardly, expansion can be found in traveling to new places, increasing your knowledge in an area of study, developing a marketing plan to increase business, or consciously energizing your creations. Sagittarius reminds us that expansion happens when we align our vision with gratitude and intentional action. Fire brings the teachings of shamanic consciousness which is one of the core principles of fire found in the Elemental Forces of Creation Oracle. Developing this level of awareness flows in stages so I'll give you three levels of tools to support you.
1) The easiest tool for deepening your work with the elements is the oracle. It contains 18 core teachings of each element and is very simple to use. You can use it digitally on Deckible or have a physical deck. Here's what it says in the guide book about starting to work with Shaman's Way.
2) When you are ready to deepen your elemental wisdom read Nature's Creation Alchemy. It's full of both the ways the elements work, how to access them, it also contains lots of practical exercises for activation.
3) As you feel you have a good grounding in the core teachings you may want to expand your shamanic capacity with the book Spirit Hacking by Shaman Durek. I'm still reading it (on page 191) but have gleaned lots of really useful additional skills already!
