Nature reveals layers of beauty and uplifts us with her billowy clouds, dazzling sunsets, glorious waterfalls, and changing colors. Her ongoing display of beauty is one of the primary teachings of the element of Earth.
The Earth Mother is magnificent, especially in her natural state, unaltered and untouched. Natural beauty will repeatedly uplift your spirit and inspire you. And beauty forms a quality in your soul when you feel deeply connected to everything around you.
Your own creation of beauty uplifts and inspires you and others as well. Remember how you feel when you go into a beautiful home, a building, a garden, or see a beautiful person. This kind of beauty is not based on the current cultural definition. It is found in all phases of development from youth to old age, in people of all races, and in all lands. You need a certain type of perception to see the natural beauty of life.
This week tune into these two versions of a Traditional Navajo Prayer as you walk through your life. Notice how they influence you.
As I walk, as I walk
The Universe is walking with me
In beauty it walks before me
In beauty it walks behind me
In beauty it walks below me
In beauty it walks above me
Beauty is on every side
As I walk, I walk with Beauty.
With beauty, may I walk.
With beauty before me, may I walk.
With beauty behind me, may I walk.
With beauty above me, may I walk.
With beauty below me, may I walk.
With beauty all around me, may I walk.
Take a moment to answer these reflection questions.
– How is beauty calling to me for greater expression?
– Where do I need to create more beauty this week?
– Do I need to spend more time in the beauty of the natural world this week?
Walk in beauty my friend.
